Giles, our Vicar, in his Devotional talks about Baptism being at the heart of the Christian journey. It is the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives ,the first step in response to God’s love. Starting the journey can begin at any time of our lives. The Baptisms held at St John’s since reopening prove this.
The first came in October at the confirmation service when our very own Emma Callaghan , who is in her twenties, was baptized and confirmed.

Later Pearl (14) and Leroy (13) Bennett Budnikova were christened along with one year old Aiden.
Aiden’ baptism was one of firsts. Not only was it his first birthday but also this was the first time our curate Georgia Ashwell had carried out a baptism.

Finally Audrey Brett Taylor who was just six months old was christened .

Giles was ably helped by Audrey’s young friends.
